A good-looking version of the complete jobs of Charles Dickens, each volume with engraved and published title-pages; titles printed in red & & black. Illustrated with the original plates; complete page illustrations with safety tissue-guard; various other pages with intertextual pictures featuring steel engravings and drypoint etchings. Handsomely connected in the author's original olive eco-friendly sateen towel, the spines magnificently decorated with gilt titles and gilt tooled Art Nouveau agricultural emblems, leading edges gilt, and other sides untrimmed; attractively generated and published on fine paper. 81/2" tall. Spinal columns evenly sunned; the gilt stays bright and clear; many quantities have chips and tiny splits on spinal column sides; some dimmed areas of cloth specifically bottom of spine; most front and back covers are clean and insides in excellent disorder with few imperfections; no writing kept in mind.
